banana bread flavoured biscuits

Can you imagine the rich taste of juicy banana bread in biscuit form? Banana bread flavoured biscuits will delight you with their soft and juicy texture as well as their easy preparation. The preparation of these biscuits is so simple that even little hands or first-time bakers can handle them.

BAM tips to
make sure the biscuits are a success and taste like banana bread:

  • Use overripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the richer the banana flavour of the biscuits. The biscuits will be both fragrant and tasty. If you don''t have ripe bananas at home, you can speed up the ripening process. You can find a tip here.
  • Stir the batter just long enough to remove any traces of flour. Over-mixing can lead to dry and hard biscuits.
  • The biscuits should still be slightly raw when they come out of the oven. The biscuits will still continue the baking process while cooling on a wire rack.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

1
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar and mashed banana. Add the egg yolk and BAM vanilla paste. Mix well.
2
Add the flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Stir until the ingredients are combined and all traces of flour have disappeared. Finally, add the BAM dark chocolate.
3
Line a baking tray with baking paper and preheat the oven to 200°C. When the oven is preheated, use a spoon to scoop out balls of dough about 1 cm in size and roll them into balls with your hands. Place the balls on the baking tray about 2 cm apart and bake for between 10 and 11 minutes, or until the edges are set and the biscuits are puffed and the centre is still slightly underdone. Leave to cool and then serve.
