Add a little ground cinnamon to the peach crumble recipe to give the dessert some warm, spicy notes. Use brown sugar to give the cinnamon a really intense flavour. The peach filling is generously spooned on top of the prepared crumble.

We will leave the peel on the peaches in this recipe, mainly because peeling the peaches loses a lot of the couscous fruit flavour and the beautiful yellow colour. But if the peach skin bothers you, feel free to peel the peaches!

The riper your peaches, the sweeter and tastier this simple dessert will become.

Ingredients:

  • 6 large peaches, sliced
  • 50 g sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch of salt
  • BAM vanilla paste
  • 62 g of flour
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 115 g melted butter
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, combine the peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger and salt.Then prepare the topping. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the peaches, BAM vanilla paste and lemon juice to a large baking dish. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the peaches. Bake until the topping is golden and the peaches are bubbling, 45 to 50 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
