This Ferrero cake will delight everyone who loves the famous chocolates of the same name. When you prepare a Ferrero cake, you will feel like you are eating the chocolate pralines, but in the form of a cake. The BAM Chocolate Hazelnut Spread, which contains at least 50% of the best roasted hazelnuts from Piedmont, gives the Ferrero Cake an authentic and intense hazelnut flavor and a creamy texture - a treat for your taste buds. The special hazelnut flavor is wonderfully rounded off by the aromatic taste of the cocoa powder and the creamy taste of the milk.

BAM tip: You will notice that the cake contains an unusual amount of ingredients: only 2 tablespoons of flour, while most of the dough is made of ground hazelnuts. We recommend using roasted hazelnuts, as they are especially crunchy and flavorful. This will make your cake taste even better.

1. Step Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Beat the eggs and sugar until they have at least tripled in volume. The resulting mixture should be light and soft. Sift the flour, BAM cocoa powder and baking powder into the egg-sugar mixture. Gradually add the chopped hazelnuts. Stir slowly to keep the mixture fluffy and soft. Bake the sponge cake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
1. Step Melt the BAM Milk Chocolate Drops together with the butter over a water bath and allow the chocolate to cool to room temperature. Mix the chocolate with the butter and the BAM Chocolate Hazelnut Spread. Whip the whipped cream and gently mix it into the resulting chocolate filling.
1. Step Cut the sponge cake batter into two or three layers. Break the wafers into small pieces. Spread the filling evenly over each sponge cake layer, sprinkle the crushed wafers over the filling. Save some of the filling for frosting the cake. Then use the filling to frost the cake. Cut the Ferrero Rocher chocolates in half and decorate the cake with them. Refrigerate the cake until ready to serve.
