marble cake with yoghurt

Marble cake with yoghurt is a dessert familiar to many people around the world. However, because it is such a well-known dessert, there are many variations of it, which nevertheless satisfy different tastes and preferences.

One such version is the marble cake with yoghurt, which combines the classic taste of vanilla cake with the rich, chocolatey flavour of cocoa powder.

1. How to prepare the marble cake with yoghurt?

The origins of the marble cake date back to Germany, where it was known as "Marmorkuchen". This pastry is characterised by a traditional pattern created by vanilla and chocolate dough combined in a swirling pattern.

The marble tart with yoghurt is a more modern version of the recipe, but it will still delight even the most demanding of palates accustomed to traditional recipes. Yoghurt has been used in baking for centuries and is a truly versatile ingredient. It adds flavour and a luscious texture to baked products. Yoghurt added to a marble cake recipe creates a creamy texture and helps prevent it from drying out during baking.

Marble cake with yoghurt

  • Preparation time: 1 h
  • Difficulty:
  • Number of ingredients: 9

Ingredients:

Instructions:

1. Step Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking tray with butter. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
2. Step Then beat in the eggs and add the BAM vanilla paste. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until the ingredients are combined. Add the yoghurt to the batter and mix until the yoghurt is combined with the other ingredients. In a separate small bowl, add the cocoa powder and hot water and stir until smooth.
3. Step Place half of the plain pastry dough in the prepared pastry case, then top with the cocoa pastry dough. Continue until you run out of both doughs. Using a knife or skewer, swirl the pastry to create a marble effect. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the tin for between 10 and 15 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
4. Step Once the cake has cooled, sprinkle it with icing sugar or top with your favourite icing, if desired. Cut and serve.
