no-bake cake pops recipe

Making cake pops just got even more fun! The no-bake cake pops recipe is so easy that even little hands can easily join in. We've added the ever-popular Oreo cookies, cream cheese, some chocolate and lots of colourful decorations. The increasingly popular cakes on sticks or cake pops are suitable for any occasion, and lately they've been overshadowing the classic cake quite a bit at birthday parties.

BAM tip:
It often happens that the prepared balls slip off the stick. If you dip the stick in melted chocolate for a good inch before placing the balls on the stick, the balls should stay put on the stick. When the chocolate on the stick cools, it acts as a glue to hold the ball in place. More tips on how to make cake pops can be found here.

If you want to impress the grown-ups with cake pops, you can make them with a combination of white chocolate and red velvet, or make chocolate pops with Baileys.

No-bake cake pops recipe

  • Preparation time: 45 min
  • Difficulty:
  • Number of ingredients: 5

Ingredients:

  • BAM crispy
  • colourful sprinkles or other colourful decorations

Instructions:

1. Step Crush the Oreo cookies. You can use a food processor or a plastic bag and a kitchen hammer to crush them. Put the biscuits in a plastic bag to prevent the tiny ends from flying out onto the work surface and crush them with the hammer. You can also buy crushed Oreo biscuits from the store.
2. Step Put the crushed biscuits in a bowl and add the cream cheese. Combine the cream cheese thoroughly with the crumbs using your hands. Form the resulting dough into balls. If each ball weighs 16 g, you can make 16 balls from the resulting mixture. Don't forget the BAM tip: melt some chocolate separately and dip each stick in melted chocolate before placing the balls on it. This will ensure that the balls do not slip off the sticks.
3. Step Chill the balls for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, melt the BAM chocolate over a water bath to coat the cake pops. Choose from a variety of flavours and colours. If you want your balls to be a natural pink colour, use ruby chocolate. If you want them white, dip them in melted white chocolate. If you want them orange, orange chocolate works best. Strawberry chocolate turns them red, and dark chocolate gives them an elegant dark brown colour. The choice is yours.
4. Step Dip the cooled cake pops in melted chocolate. Make sure that the difference in temperature between the balls and the melted chocolate is not too extreme. If the temperature is too high, the melted chocolate will crack. If this happens, leave the cooled balls at room temperature for a while to warm up a little and then proceed with the coating. Start decorating immediately or while the chocolate on the ball is still warm, as the decoration will not stick to the cooled chocolate.
