passion fruit panna cotta

Panna cotta is a dessert that is easy to prepare in advance. Here's a classic recipe for a simple, rich and creamy Italian panna cotta. You can whip it up whenever you need an impressive and quick dessert! The word panna cotta comes from Italian and means "cooked cream." It requires only a few ingredients to prepare. It's basically a simple mixture of whipped cream, sugar and vanilla.

The addition of gelatin helps the mixture to solidify and get a creamy consistency. The panna cotta has a full flavor and a silky smooth texture.

To give the panna cotta more freshness, we used BAM passion fruit topping. It is a highly aromatic fruit with a pleasantly sour taste, perfect for desserts with a delicate and sweet flavour.

BAM tip: There's no need to be afraid of the word "gelatin". Just because you may not be familiar with it doesn't mean it's complicated - and it really isn't. Adding gelatin to the hot mixture activates it. You should make sure it is completely dissolved before adding it to the mixture. It should be smooth and free of lumps. After refrigerating the panna cotta for at least 4 hours, success is guaranteed.

Besides the passion fruit panna cotta, you can of course also prepare the famous cheesecake with the BAM Cheesecake Mix and refine it with the refreshing taste of passion fruit.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

1
Pour the water into a small bowl and dissolve the gelatin in it. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes to soften.
2
Meanwhile, heat the whipping cream, sugar, vanilla bean and vanilla bean pod in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and remove the vanilla bean. Add the gelatin and whisk until dissolved. If the gelatin does not dissolve completely, return the saucepan to the stove and heat over low heat until completely dissolved. Be sure to stir continuously and do not allow the mixture to boil.
3
Pour the whipped cream mixture into four individual serving bowls. Refrigerate for at least 2 to 4 hours, or until the panna cotta is completely set. If you like, you can top it with BAM passion fruit topping, fresh fruit, strawberries, strawberry puree or other toppings of your choice. If the panna cotta is carefully covered with plastic wrap, it will keep for up to 3 days.
