When are bananas most convenient for baking? I prefer to use bananas in baking when they are already more brown. Just remember that the browner the banana, the sweeter it is, which means that banana and peanut butter brownies will be sweeter too.

If bananas are not your favourite fruit, you can make brownies with raspberries or brownies with chocolate.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Add the sugar, 115 g butter and vanilla paste. Stir until the mixture is smooth.

Add the flour, salt and cocoa powder and stir until the mixture is smooth. Grease a 23x23 cm baking tray with the remaining butter.

Use about one tablespoon of cocoa powder to coat the edges of the baking tray.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray. Spoon the peanut butter on top. Using a butter knife, swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow the brownies with banana to cool completely, then slice.
