In a large bowl, carefully beat the soft butter with an electric mixer on medium speed. This process takes about 3 to 5 minutes, until you reach the light and fluffy texture you will need for the base of your cream.

Slowly start adding the icing sugar. Mix on low speed at the beginning to prevent the sugar from spreading around the kitchen. Once the sugar is fully incorporated and the mixture is well combined, increase the speed of the mixer and continue mixing for 2-3 minutes until you have an airy and homogeneous mixture.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of milk, pistachio paste and a pinch of salt. Stir until all the ingredients are combined into a smooth and creamy mixture that will add a delicious flavour to your cake. For an extra crunchy element, add chopped roasted pistachios to the pistachio cream.

Finally, check the consistency of the cream. If it seems too stiff, add a little more milk to soften it. If the cream is too thick, thicken it with a little more icing sugar to achieve the desired texture.
