How does a recipe for homemade brownies with biscuits, salted caramel topping and a pinch of freshly ground sea salt sound? The sumptuous taste will spoil your taste buds and the preparation itself is not as difficult as it sounds. This time, we won't add the salted caramel topping to the sponge cake itself, but we will top the baked brownies with the creamy texture of the topping. When the brownies are cut into pieces, the topping will spread gently over the edges, giving the brownies a special flavour.

A few more tricks before we get started:

- when cutting, be careful not to stack the pieces too close. Salted caramel can be a bit sticky, so be sure to prevent the pieces from sticking to each other by stacking them;

- offer the brownies as small cubes as they are quite rich in flavour;

- if you like a sweet/salty taste, sprinkle some salty sea salt at the end. If you don't like this taste, you can leave this part out.

Instead of brownies with salted caramel, you can make brownies with ruby chocolate or just plain brownies.

1. Step Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and slightly crease the edges, as this makes it easier to remove the brownies from the tray when they have been baked and topped with caramel.
2. Step Melt the butter and 1/3 of the BAM dark chocolate over a water bath. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate and stir until it is completely dissolved. Then add the eggs and BAM vanilla paste and stir until the mixture is smooth. The mixture will become light brown in colour.
3. Step Add the BAM cocoa powder, flour, salt, remaining BAM dark chocolate, and BAM milk chocolate. Stir with a spatula and stir again until you have a uniform mixture. Don't be alarmed, the mixture will be very thick, it should be.
4. Step Pour the prepared mixture into the prepared baking tray and bake for 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick if the dough is baked. If you insert the toothpick into the dough and it is wet, the dough is not yet baked. Leave it in the oven and repeat the test with the toothpick every two minutes. When the dough is baked, the toothpick will be dry.
5. Step Remove the baked brownies from the oven and top with a jar of BAM salted caramel while still hot. If you like, you can also sprinkle them with sea salt. Cool the brownies well (you can put them in the fridge for an hour or two) and then slice them. Don't forget to cut them into small cubes, as they have a very rich flavour. Have a good run! ;)
