Melt the chocolate, coffee and butter in the microwave or over a water bath. Stir the mixture until completely smooth.

Separate the egg yolks and egg whites. Add the egg yolks to the chocolate mixture and whisk the egg whites until stiff, adding the sugar at the end. Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.

Then fill the dessert into cups or small glasses and place in the fridge for 12 hours. Garnish the mousse with whipped cream and cocoa powder, if desired.
