The key question that we didn''t have an answer to until almost the last one was: are we going to the sea or are we going to Gorenjska by campervan?
Then Nina from Nestcampers put the solution in the palm of our hands when she called me 3 days before our appointment and told me the great news that their Nestcampers camper was free for a long weekend. We rented their Falcon.
5 seats, 3+1 beds (well, to be honest - it''s just right for 3, if it was 4 I''m afraid I don''t know where we could squeeze in), with a handy mini kitchen and a great ventilation system; the air circulation was honestly the most positive surprise for me - never too hot, never too cold.
We grabbed the opportunity and we were already dating. Well, let''s go!
First destination.
To be honest, we didn''t have any specific destinations until we set off. While the bureaucracy of picking up the camper van was being sorted out, we asked Nina from Nestcampers for some tips on excursion spots. We had checked and read a blog with trip tips before renting, but there were so many ideas and not enough time, so we needed great ideas to combine the pleasant with the useful, i.e. work and sightseeing in beautiful Slovenia, in a short time. Together we decided on Gorenjska.
So we set off in the camper van towards Bohinj, more specifically towards Lake Bohinj. Upon entering the Zlatorog campsite, we were welcomed into the embrace of beautiful nature. Due to the heavy rain, we had the opportunity to see a waterfall, which supposedly only appears after heavy rain. Of course, we didn''t know that, but the friendly staff of the campsite informed us about it.
The campsite was quite empty in this pre-season (I''m sure this is not the case now), so we quickly found a place. As the campervan also has the possibility of being connected to electricity, we put it next to an electricity box. Our computers needed full batteries and the beauty of Gorenjska really gave us a boost and a head full of new ideas.
The next morning we woke up to a dry day, so I decided to go for a longer walk, or for the girls an easier hike up to the Savica waterfall. Not to be just computer g33ks and to sweat occasionally. They say that it is when the going gets tough and when we overcome obstacles together that the team bonds best.
In the evening, we spread the awning wide from our Nestcampers camper, had an authentic Slovenian dinner with a glass of red wine and played board games at the outdoor table until late in the evening.
P.S.: the awning of the camper was the saviour of our rather rainy teambuilding. Another of the advantages of the Falcon campervan, as it gave us all the advantages of both a campervan and a campsite.

Other destination.
To make sure the girls didn''t say I brought them here just to work and not to enjoy anything, I served them a superb five-star breakfast to start the day, with a perfect view of Lake Bohinj. Ah, where. The breakfast was not out of my hands, it was excellently prepared in the Triglav Bohinj restaurant. We also used the day for some coordination, meetings and work. "No work, no food", as they say in Gorenjska.

Third destination.
On the advice of the Nestcampers staff, we decided to visit the famous Lake Jasna. It was a good hour''s drive, and we had no problems parking when we arrived at the car park. The campervan integrated perfectly with the other cars already parked. Another advantage. ;)
First we had a nice walk around the lake. As soon as we checked out the surroundings, I knew the girls would want to go photoshooting spreads in a natural environment. And that''s exactly what happened. I was sure that we would take photos of the spreads and then go. Well, yes... The first goal was to photoshoot, but the first three photos were followed by, "Sam, just to give it a try", "Omg, these spreads... One is better than the other..." and continued into: "Hazelnut and pistachio are mine! I''ve already eaten the chocolate one, hahaha :) ".
"Professional" photoshooting quickly turned into a do-or-die battle. It''s a good thing there was all the cutlery in the camper''s kitchen, otherwise the battle for spreads would have quickly turned into a battle for fingers. :)

Summary of the teambuilding:
I don''t know who to thank, but I have a really fantastic team. This time we went on the trip with three members, next time we are counting on one more.
Team.
Carpe diem, enjoy life and think chocolate!
P.S. Since we promised Nina from Nestcampers a genuine report on Nestcampers campervans, let me end with the following observations and comments (for those of you who can''t read any further: overall rating 4/5):
- the collection of the camper van was as expected. We arrived at the car park, with a few signatures we had the keys in our hands in less than five minutes. We then spent a good half an hour familiarising ourselves with the technical specifications and the explanation of the whole system (which dragged on a bit because we were already extremely impatient - but safety only comes first);
- the camper van is, in principle, a typical converted Citroen van, but it offers perfectly satisfactory comfort. For anyone who has ever travelled or moved around in a campervan, it is not a luxury prestige experience, but for those of you who have never had the experience of a campervan before... Definitely recommended! A campervan offers a comfortable journey and pleasant movements between places;
- the equipment of the camper was solid. Nothing glamorous, but on the other hand we didn''t lack anything. A nice family idyll :);
- the map with tips, together with the booklet of benefits, was really cool - a nice read and above all useful tips on what to do in the countryside;
- an exceptional plus: the gifts in the camper! In the kitchenette we also received water for thirsty travellers, bamboo toothbrushes, disposable shampoo, Chocolate Slovenia Gold Edition, Odlično nuts and a few other little treats. Very, VERY nice! :)
- We missed: the cookbook (Nina wrote in her message that the cookbook would be waiting for us somewhere... apparently it got lost somewhere), the working mosquito screens on the windows (unfortunately they broke just before we took over) and the bigger refrigerated chest. For thirsty travellers, sometimes a little more ice goes a long way. :)
For those of you who decide to go for a similarly authentic campervan experience (for those of you who have never travelled by campervan - it is a must!), here''s a sweet tip: Use the promo code MOJACOKOLADA5 to take advantage of a 5% discount at Nestcampers.
