By far the largest cocoa producers are Côte d''Ivoire and Ghana, which together produce more than half of the world''s cocoa. It is also interesting to note that, globally, 90% of cocoa is produced on small family farms of 1-5 hectares, while only less than 5% is produced on large plantations of 40 hectares or more.
