american biscuits with cranberries

Here is a recipe for delicious American cookies with cranberries, a crispy crust and a soft centre. Just the way they should be.

The biscuits are just the right amount of salty and chocolatey, and the vanilla paste is added to the mixture for a delicate and pleasant aroma. Absolutely divine! The children love them in our house and they can help with the preparation.

What could be more fun than greasing their hands and packing up the kitchen on a grey and rainy day?

You can serve American chocolate chip cookies at your next celebration , along with a Kinder bueno dessert in a jar.

With the ingredients in this recipe, you can make 30 biscuits. The recipe is part of the BAM recipe book.

Instructions:

To make American biscuits with cranberries:

1
In the bowl of a stand mixer, using the triangular paddle attachment, beat the butter and sugar for 1 minute. Add the vanilla paste and egg and mix until fluffy. Mix the dry ingredients and stir them into the creamed mixture. Stir just until the ingredients are combined.
2
Finally, add the chocolate drops and dried cranberries. Place the mixture in the fridge for at least half an hour. When it is well chilled, weigh out 20 g mounds with a spoon and shape them into balls. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Make sure to leave enough space between the balls, as they will fall apart during baking.
3
Place the baking tray with the balls in the fridge for half an hour, as the biscuit dough needs to be really cold before baking. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190°C. Slide the baking tray into the preheated oven and bake the biscuits for about 11 minutes. Using a palette knife, transfer the baked biscuits to a wire rack to cool completely.
