In a bowl, whisk together the butter, eggs and sugar. Sift the cocoa, flour and baking powder into another bowl and stir the contents into the beaten egg mixture.

Add the chocolate chunks and roughly chopped pistachios to the cream mixture. Prepare a baking tray or mould and pour the batter into it.

Place the tin in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serve the dessert chilled, garnished with chocolate topping or pistachios and sprinkled with icing sugar, if desired.
