Eggless tiramisu is a version of the classic Italian dessert that does not use raw egg yolks. The classic tiramisu recipe consists of layers of mascarpone cream, espresso- or cocoa-soaked biscuits and a dusting of cocoa powder. The mascarpone cream layer is usually prepared by whipping the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy, then adding the mascarpone and whipped sweet cream.

However, some people are not allowed to eat eggs due to health reasons or other dietary restrictions, so here is a recipe for making tiramisu without eggs. Instead of egg yolks, we''ll make a layer of cream using a mixture of whipped cream and mascarpone cheese, sweetened with sugar or condensed milk. This gives a lighter and fluffier texture, while still retaining the rich flavour of the original dessert.

1. How to make tiramisu without eggs?

To makeeggless tiramisu , dip the biscuits in espresso or cocoa and arrange them in an even layer in a bowl. Then, spread a layer of cream on top of the biscuits and repeat the process until the bowl is full. The tiramisu is then chilled for a few hours to allow the flavours to develop and combine. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa powder or grated chocolate.


BAM tip: If you want the cream layer to have a really light and airy texture, it is best to whip the cream and mascarpone separately before combining them. This way the sweet cream will be just the right amount of whipped cream and the mascarpone will have a smooth and creamy texture.

To make tiramisu without eggs:

In a large bowl, whip the cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, whip the mascarpone cheese, sugar and BAM vanilla paste and mix until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone cheese mixture until fully incorporated.

Pour the cooled espresso or cocoa into a shallow dish. Dip each side of the biscuit into the espresso or cocoa for a few seconds, then arrange in a single layer on the baking tray of your choice. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the biscuits and smooth it into an even layer.

Repeat with a second layer of soaked biscuits and continue with the mascarpone cream. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, sprinkle the tiramisu with cocoa powder or grated chocolate. Cut into squares and serve.
