Did someone say cake pops with pistachios? We did! Pistachios are an incredibly versatile nut with a great taste. Cake pops, or the increasingly popular pistachio cakes on sticks, are a great gift idea, can be a snack on the go, or just served with an aperitif.
We decided to turn the elegant taste of pistachios and white chocolate from cake into cake pops with this recipe.
Tricks and tips on how to make the famous cake pops on sticks can be found here.

Ingredients:
For the pistachio cake pops:
- 200 g BAM white chocolate
- 100 g unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 80 g sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 120 g flour
- 100 g ground pistachios
- 1 tablespoon BAM pistachio spread
- 1 teaspoon BAM vanilla paste
Instructions:
To prepare:
1
Melt the BAM white chocolate with the butter in a water bath. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Allow the melted chocolate to cool a little.
2
Put the eggs, sugar, vanilla paste and salt in a bowl and stir until the mixture becomes lighter in colour. Stir in the melted chocolate and BAM pistachio spread. Mix in the flour and pistachios and add the mixture to the sugar and egg mixture.
3
Bake the prepared mixture in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly. When the dough has cooled a little, remove it from the baking tray, turn it out onto a wire rack and leave it there to cool completely.
4
Trim the hard, dry edge from the prepared dough, tip the rest into a bowl and shape into about 20 balls of the same size. Melt the BAM white chocolate. Dip wooden skewers (about 1 cm deep) in the melted chocolate. Now place a sponge ball on the wooden skewers, cover with white chocolate and place on the cake pop stands.
5
Decorate as desired. If you decorate the cake pops with chocolate balls or chocolate chips, do it immediately so that they stick to the still slightly melted chocolate.
