Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine the slightly melted peanut butter, sugar, mashed bananas, vegetable oil and eggs. Stir in the cocoa, baking soda, salt and BAM vanilla paste. Finally, stir in the flour.

Pour the resulting mixture into the baking tray and place the thinly sliced banana pieces on top. Bake for about 55 minutes, until a knife inserted in the centre of the banana bread comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for another 20 minutes. When the banana bread has cooled slightly, pour the peanut butter over it. Heat in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds, then stir. The butter should have a creamy and slightly runny texture. Drizzle over the banana bread and serve.
